My top two pictures are my childhood memory photos, and my bottom two pictures are my choice photos. My first photo I used a fast shutter speed to capture the movement of the tissue paper. I wanted to capture and convey the happiness and eagerness of opening up presents on Christmas, something hopefully everyone, not just kids can relate to. In my second photo, I took a picture of my cousin popping bubble wrap and cropped the photo to create emphasis on him. I remember playing with bubble wrap as a kid and wanted my viewers to feel nostalgic like I did. For my first choice photo, I used the elements to my advantage. The light post and falling snow created contrast within my picture and also emphasis on the light post that was balanced by the snow flurries. My final photo used rule of thirds with no balancing elements. I wanted all of the focus to be on the tank. Again, I liked the contrast of the tank and the snow; I wanted to let the unique rust and blue color come through by itself. I adjusted the ISO as well so the snow wasn’t overpoweringly white, adding to my point of letting the tank stand out.
