My top two pictures are my composition photos, and my bottom two pictures are my choice photos. My first photo’s emphasis was on contrast and cropping. The white background and cropped surrounding put the emphasis on the blue bird house. My second photo’s emphasis was on symmetry/patterns and ground. Most of the picture is taken of the ground and the white road creates contrast, yet it also splits the picture into two, creating symmetry in the photo. In my third picture I played around with aperture. I set my aperture to the smallest number, leaving all of the focus on the leaf and creating less depth of field. In my last picture, I changed my point of view slightly and went under the flag. I also like how assymetrical the photo is. The left side is very busy, yet the right side is blank; I think it makes the picture more interesting and unique compared to most other photos. I also played around with the ISO to get the desired light on the picture so it wasn’t so bright.
